Regional Development Australia (RDA) is a national network of committees made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support and broker economic development opportunities for their regions. The Australian Government recently announced a strengthening of the network through the implementation of a new charter (attached) and 4.5 year Funding Agreement to 30 June 2025. This commitment positions the RDA network as the Commonwealth’s primary regional development engagement body, working with state and local government to support economic growth in Australia’s regions.
All current RDA committee Chair terms (with the exception of the 6 RDA committees in Victoria) cease 31 December 2020 and these positions are now open for applications via the Join your RDA page of www.rda.gov.au.
